Once again setting the pace in energy ratings, Lister Trade Frames have just unveiled their improved Elitis energy rated windows, having included fully reinforced foiled and solid coloured frames to the range.

The new windows achieve a BFRC energy rating of A+3, use double glazed argon filled sealed units, and include the Police Secured by Design specification.

Listers were presented with their certificate for the new energy A-rated windows at this year’s Glassex exhibition. Using the new Planitherm Total glass by Saint Gobain, they had their Elitis A+1 rated windows re-simulated and accredited to give the improved performance. The enhanced performance of the Elitis window means that fully reinforced woodgrained windows can now be sold as part of the A+ range. Formally these were only available as BFRC B energy rated.

Listers’ customers have successfully sold white frames with a rating of A+1 and Secured by design for well over a year, but the new advancements mean that they can now sell an improved energy performance rating on white and woodgrain windows. So Listers’ installers have the benefit of being able to offer a practical range of top energy and top security performing windows. In fact the only thing that Listers seem not to have increased is the price.

Ian Johnson, Quality Manager at Lister Trade Frames added, ‘We never intended to cease development once we’d achieved commercially viable A-rated windows and this latest achievement shows why it’s important to constantly push and increase standards. Being able to offer a full range of A+3 rated windows at no extra cost to our customers is an advancement we worked hard for and we’re pleased to be providing the best possible energy saving and security rated windows, at the best market prices.’

Listers are always enthusiastic about their business and the improvements that they constantly make. Here again is an example of how working with suppliers and regulators can bring tangible gains to a business and its customers. And with Listers just reporting their 22nd consecutive record sales month they must be doing something right.
