The 2nd Annual Glass Symposium brought together industry leaders for a day of education, networking, and discussions on improving glazing quality and preventing construction defects.

AGMT and NACC participated in the 2nd Annual Glass Symposium, presented by the Glass & Metal Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. The Glass Symposium took place Wednesday, 29 April 2026 at historic Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. The event welcomed over 100 seasoned industry decision-makers and influencers from the architecture, construction, engineering, and manufacturer/supply communities.

During the event, attendees visited the Glazing Certification exhibit booth to learn about AGMT and NACC. Program Manager Scott Kennett and AGMT certified glaziers Doug Drysdale and Billy Graham presented “Curtainwall Installation Processes and Controls to Prevent Construction Defects.” They communicated potential risks associated with glazing installation and three ways to mitigate those risks:

  1. Utilizing well-trained AGMT certified glaziers.
  2. Implementing installation process controls that NACC certified contractors are required to follow.
  3. Writing and enforcing specifications for glazing installer qualifications that require NACC and AGMT credentials.

“Overall, it was a great event,” said Kennett. “The Glass and Metal Alliance organized excellent educational content and had many industry leading vendors for glazing industry stakeholders to learn from and connect with.”
