I am studying the effectiveness of illuminated signs placed inside the windows of businesses. I find that certian green colored neon signs transmit through glass better than other colors. Can anyone tell me the reason? I know glass is sometimes tinted green which may filter other colors or enchance the green neon. Is glass inherently green or does the tint have to be added? What is the purpose of green glass over any other color?

Can anyone point me in the direction of a laboratory that specializes in testing glass? In particular I am interested in finding one that can accurately (within 25 to 50 years), determine the age of a glass object.

We have recently installed toughened glass in our project. Surprisingly within months after installation it shattered down mystiriously. Please suggest how could a toughened glass could break down on its own suddenly with no apperent reason.

Heathway in the UK have permanently closed. Who uses the coating / substrating split dies needed for these machines? They will have problems getting these intricate precision dies made. But www.toolmaker.uk.com have experience in making these.

I am looking for a big pile of Milk Glass cullet (opaque white) and I can't find much. Nobody seems to be working with it. Does anyone know where there might be a good amount?

Do you know which machineries and accessories are neccessary for testing PVB laminated glass (humidity test, UV test, ...). You know some producers of this machines? Someone has a used one for sell?

I am planning to set up a quartzware fab.& repair workshop in Singapore.
