Date: 26 May 2014

The World Packaging Organization recognized once again the design and innovation of Vitro containers. - Vitro, S.

A.B. de C.V. (BMV: VITROA), hereinafter “Vitro” or the “Company”, the leading glass producer in Mexico, reports that its glass container for True Passion by Mary Kay was presented with the World Packaging Organisation’s (WPO) prize for Health and Beauty during the WorldStar Awards 2014.   The event was part of Interpack 2014, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, and represents the most prestigious acknowledgement of the international containers’ industry. When referring to the award, Shlomo Frymerman, Director of Vitro’s Perfume and Pharmaceutical Business, declared: “True Passion 60 ml. was awarded from a total of 316 containers presented by companies during 2013.The result highlights the innovation in our organization, in the design level as well as in the proper fabrication, and confirms that Vitro is the best option for those who attempt to communicate concepts of beauty, fashion, luxury, and style in their products”.

True Passion is the first sensual fragrance that Mary Kay designs exclusively for the Latin-American market. The colors and shapes of the container emphasize the effusiveness that characterizes Latin women, as well as their vitality and high esthetic sense.

The red glass container was inspired in the region’s flora, specifically the Passion Flower of Brazil that has a unique beauty. Its shape has soft and kind curves to fit the feminine hand, while its color accentuates the women’s passion for life and love.

The long and black cap is a perfect balance for the container. It was based in the classic stiletto heel of a feminine shoe, because it reflects the force and sensuality of the women who wear them.

The WPO was established in 1968 in Tokyo by leaders and experts of the container and packaging international community. It is a nonprofit organization, integrated by a number of federations, institutions and associations dedicated to promote the technological and scientific development, as well as the research of the worldwide packaging industry.
