Spider hires Garry Bilodeau as district sales representative for Vancouver

Spider, a division of SafeWorks, announces on Aug. 8, 2013 that Garry Bilodeau has joined its Vancouver, B.C., operation center as district sales representative.

In this role, Bilodeau is responsible for solving the suspended scaffolding and fall protection challenges of contractors and facility owners throughout Canada.     

Bilodeau boasts 40 years of experience in the scaffolding industry, holding various sales and management positions with companies like Sky-Hi Scaffolding and Swing Stage. Most recently he served as safety manager for Suspended Stages, where his responsibilities included swing stage and fall protection instructing, fabrication estimating, and sales and rentals. He has been actively involved in the Scaffold Industry Association of Canada for the past 26 years, serving on various committees and holding numerous roles including Western Canada national director, B.C. chapter president and safety instructor.

“Garry’s extensive industry experience combined with his familiarity of the Canadian market make him a perfect addition to our Vancouver operation center,” said John Sotiroff, vice-president of Spider sales and distribution. “We look forward to utilizing his training skills and acute knowledge of provincial codes and regulations to provide our Canadian customers with the safest, most reliable suspended access and fall protection solutions.”
