Simulate Multipane Windows in Triple Glazing with New Thermobar Interbar

Thermoseal Group, the UK’s leading manufacturer of warm edge spacers and accessories is soon to add a 6mm x 18mm Interbar (Muntin) and fittings to its current Thermobar Interbar range.

This new narrow profile is designed to simulate traditional multipane windows in high-performance triple glazed solutions.Thermobar Interbar has been developed by the Group’s own innovation centre with a bespoke engineering plastic to complement its Thermobar and Thermoflex warm edge spacer ranges and offer a superior thermal efficiency than traditional aluminium systems.Interbar is a rectangular profile bar with accompanying centre and edge keys used to construct a framework to be integrated within an insulated glass (IG) sealed unit.Other sizes of Thermobar Interbar include 11.5mm x 18mm and 15.5mm x 18mm and are available in black, grey and white.

This Interbar framework is to be encapsulated in an IG unit and a Surface Mount Georgian bar is placed in position on the surface of the glass. Within the window, Thermobar Interbar appears like two spacer bars back-to-back to simulate the aesthetic of traditional multipane windows.

The look of multipane windows can also be simulated using Thermoseal Group’s Thermobar Duplex system, differing to Interbar in that its specially designed keys make use of standard Thermobar spacer bar.

“The Thermobar range is amongst the highest rated in the market”, says Mark Hickox, Sales Director for Thermoseal Group. “Not only is it A+ Passive House approved and achieves a highest thermal efficiency value of 0.14W/mK as certified by Bundesverband Flachglas data, it is also comes with a wide range of bespoke accessories which we colour-match to suit.

“Thermobar Interbar has been particularly well received in the market and customers are now requesting further sizes. Therefore, following the addition of 6mm x 18mm Interbar we will add 11.5mm x 22mm and 15.5mm x 22mm sizes in the near future with fittings for use in both Thermoflex and Thermobar.

“We are extremely proud of our Thermobar and Thermoflex range of warm edge spacers and are committed in continuing to develop and expand our portfolio of thermally efficient products to futureproof our components and meet the continued demand for improved performance. We look forward to showing further new products over the coming months.”

The Thermobar Warm Edge Spacer range includes: Thermobar spacer tubes in black, grey and white - 4mm bar is also available in black; bespoke colour-matched Corner Keys in compatible sizes; Flexi Keys; Straight Connectors; Gas Corner Keys (with and without hole); a range of colour-matched Gas Collars and Plugs; Thermobar Interbar and Fittings; Duplex fittings.
