Schott Expands Capacity for Backlight Glass

Schott AG of Mainz, Germany, has started construction of three melting tanks in Valasské Mezirici, Czech Republic. The manufacturing facilities will expand production capabilities for the glass tubing used in the backlights of display screens.

Start of production for the first melting tank is expected in August.
