Project Focus | Solar Switchable Glass | ITV Studios

In order to control the amount of natural light flooding into their studio, ITV’s Daybreak utilised our Solar switchable glass to allow for amazing views of the River Thames with the added benefit of being able to gradually dim the glass as required.

Our Solar Smartglass product switches from translucent to dark blue at the flick of a switch, ideal for interior spaces where shading and light control are necessary. This switchable glass from Smartglass International can also be controlled using a dimmer switch allowing for various stages of light control.Whilst the product had an important and tangible requirement, it also gave the studio some impressive PR and created some buzz!

We also recently installed our Solar Smartglass at the CERN Globe of Science and Innovation in Geneva, Switzerland.
