The building was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize 2012 and encompasses many innovative features including Switchable Privacy Glass by Smartglass.  

Switchable Privacy Glass by Smartglass allows for easy and instant permutations of space, delivering privacy to carry out important meetings and presentations without distractions from onlookers and co-workers.

Electric Privacy Glass by Smartglass was used as a partitioning system in numerous private meeting rooms and offices.  Lord Rothschild’s office also contains floor to ceiling Switchable Privacy Smartglass.  In its translucent state Smartglass maximises natural light and frames iconic panoramas, creating a sense that one is floating above the London cityscape. However when privacy is required, it is available on demand.
