September saw PiGs trotting up to Scotland for the third year running, with the Glasgow event proving more and more popular with each visit.

St Judes bar was inundated with glazing guys and gals from both the north and south of the border, who took the opportunity to catch up with friends in the industry as well as making new acquaintances.

“It’s great to see the PiGs night in Glasgow getting busier each year,” said Sarah Ball from Balls2 Marketing, organisers of the industry’s premier networking event. “There were lots of new faces in attendance and we kept the bar staff rushed off their feet for the whole night. We’ll almost certainly need to move to a bigger venue for 2020!”

Glasgow also saw the debut of the new PiGs speech bubbles, replacing the traditional ‘selfie board’.

“We’re always thinking of new ways to keep PiGs fresh,” says Sarah. “We’ve had the selfie board for a while now and although it was always popular with our PiGgies, we felt it was time for a change.

“We ‘retired’ the board after the London event in the summer and the speech bubbles proved a big success – just look at the photographs!”

Sponsorship is vital for the success of PiGs. Every penny is put behind the bar and used to get the party started. A huge thanks to: All Glass Facades, AluFold Direct, APS Aluminium & Plastic Systems, Bison Frames, Build Show, Carl F GroupCo, CMS, CR Smith, CURA Glass, Double Glazing Blogger, DGCOS, Edgetech, ERA Security, Extrudaseal, Fenster, The Georgian Bar Company, Glass and Glazing Products, Glass Times, GlazPart, Improveasy, Independent Network, Kawneer, Kubu (by Avantis), Kömmerling, Masterframe, Norscot, QANW, Regalead, Saveheat Glass, Scotplas, Selecta Systems, Senior Architectural Systems, Sidey, Stuga, Supalite, Thermoseal Group, Total Hardware, Teknos, Unique Window Systems, VEKA, Vision, Victorian Sliders, Whizzle, Window News and Window Ware.

The final PiGs party of the year will be taking place at the ever-popular Pitcher & Piano in Birmingham on Thursday 7 November. The dates for 2020 will be announced shortly – watch this space.
