With the traditional cutting of the glass ribbon, the fifth annual GlassFest got  underway Thursday evening in Corning.   With the traditional cutting of the glass ribbon, the fifth annual  GlassFest got underway Thursday evening in Corning.

The glass ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on the hot glass stage at the Corning Museum of Glass, which hosted opening-night festivities for the  four-day GlassFest.
