Shelforce received royal recognition last month after being awarded The King’s Award for Enterprise in Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility) – and the company has increased its sponsorship at this year’s Glazing Summit.

The Birmingham-based company, which specialises in providing high-quality PVCu and aluminium products to local authority building projects, has been recognised with the highest official UK award for British business.

Shelforce is sponsoring the event, which takes place on Thursday, October 12 at Edgbaston Stadium once again, for the fifth time in a row and will be this year’s lanyard sponsor.

Shelforce’s Business Manager Howard Trotter, who has spoken at previous Summit’s, said: “It was incredible for the team to receive The King’s Award for Enterprise. We want to make sure the year continues to be successful and it’s important for Shelforce to support the Glazing Summit as it’s a key event in the in the industry calendar.

“The Glazing Summit provides a space for the industry to get together to discuss the challenges we’re all facing and how we can make the future better across the supply chain. Aligning the Shelforce brand with the Glazing Summit is important and we’re looking forward to sponsoring the lanyards this year and another hugely worthwhile event.”

Last year saw a record number and this year will again feature panellists from some of the biggest companies in the industry and keynote speakers, and visitors can connect directly with industry leaders while discussing the most important topics.

Andrew Scott, founder of the Glazing Summit, commented: “The Kings Award for Enterprise is amazing for Shelforce and it shows the real strength of diversity. Shelforce has been a big supporter of the Glazing Summit from the very beginning, and I’m delighted that they will be our lanyard sponsor for 2023.”
