HEGLA will showcase its latest Thin Glass Cutting System, Galactic-TG, at Booth #16048 during GlassBuild America.

A key highlight of HEGLA’s presentation is the growing trend of thin glass in triple glazing. Using glass as thin as 0.5 mm in the middle pane opens new opportunities for both renovation and new construction projects. This innovative approach allows existing double glazing to be upgraded to triple glazing with comparable U-values, while maintaining a lighter, slimmer design that reduces load on the building structure.

The Galactic-TG system delivers precise, homogeneous cut edges for enhanced edge strength and process reliability. Equipped with a special cutting head and high automation, it ensures consistent quality and smooth integration into production lines — whether via harp rack or direct transfer to insulating glass manufacturing.

HEGLA’s experts will be on-site to discuss how this advanced technology supports the future of energy-efficient and lightweight glazing solutions.
