By establishing HEGLA Iberica, HEGLA is reinforcing its presence in Spain and Portugal, and adapting to future growth.

The new branch in Nigrán, Spain (Province of Pontevedra) has been active for several weeks already and will provide increased in-person support and service for local customers. “HEGLA Iberica stands for maximum customer support, reliable services and strong partnerships on the Iberian Peninsula,” says HEGLA Managing Director Bernhard Hötger.

The team on site will be further expanded under the management of Rui Joaquim, a recognised industry expert who will be responsible for organisation and service. The sales team will be formed together with longstanding HEGLA partner Rolf Meyer, who remains the first point of contact for customers locally. “Rui and Rolf have strong connections to Spain and Portugal, and are recognised experts in the glass industry. Both understand our customers’ requirements and will guarantee sustainable and forward-looking partnerships in the region,” remarks HEGLA Managing Director Bernhard Hötger.

The transition to more automation in the glass industry

With the new branch, the HEGLA Group is getting ahead of changes in the Spanish and Portuguese glass industry. “The skills shortage and higher demand for automation solutions have resulted in changing requirements,” says HEGLA Sales Director Toni Schön. “With HEGLA Iberica, we are optimally positioned to shape the future together with our customers – flexibly, cooperatively and with rapid response times.”

The team is being gradually expanded in a modern office building in Nigrán and will be joined by local service employees and a spare parts warehouse – creating the infrastructure to meet future market requirements at all times. Rui Joaquim, Rolf Meyer and the entire team are looking forward to working together to build an even stronger presence on the Iberian Peninsula.
