Six big-name sponsors came on board for this year’s Glazing Summit in just one month, as momentum gathers pace for the leading industry conference.

Leading hardware distributor Window Ware and window and door manufacturer Shelforce, which featured on ITV’s Made In Britain in April, are both involved for the third time in a row.

While one of the industry’s leading aluminium fabricators, AluFold Direct (lanyard sponsors), external shading experts Caribbean Blinds, plastic glazing accessories design and manufacturer Glazpart, and ventilation and air management systems manufacture R W Simon are all sponsoring the event for the first time.

The Glazing Summit takes place on Thursday, October 21 at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre, Birmingham, and will bring together industry leaders for a day-long series of panel debates, discussions, and networking, concluding in the evening with the exclusive Leaders Dinner.

And, according to Glazing Summit Founder and CEO of organisers Insight Data and Purplex Marketing, the surge is due to the return of live events after the pandemic – and the need to come together as an industry to discuss the future.

“When we announced we would be returning to Edgbaston Stadium, provided restrictions were lifted, earlier this year it really wetted the industry’s appetite,” said Andrew.

“That has been reinforced by the calibre of sponsors already on board this early in the year and the six sponsors who signed up in May alone. It really shows how valuable the industry views the Glazing Summit.”

The six new sponsors join industry giants Yale, Unique Window Systems (Leaders Dinner sponsors), ODL Europe (Champagne Reception sponsors), Reynaers Aluminium, and Edgetech have also been confirmed, alongside the likes of Carl F Groupco Limited, the Council for Aluminium in Building, MACO, Vertik-Al, Chase Taylor, Glass times, and Building Products Magazine.

The 2019 event attracted around 350 industry leaders from across the whole glass and glazing industry and 25 expert and keynote speakers who tackled the biggest industry issues.

And, despite restrictions, it’s set to be a sell-out as companies make up for lost time, with tickets already selling fast too.

Andrew added: “After a year of restrictions, the industry is bursting with ideas, innovations and developments and having the opportunity to come together in a safe, professional setting to discuss them and connect with like-minded industry leaders is one companies cannot afford to miss out on, particularly after the last 12 months.”
