Glaverbel and AGC Automotive Europe, both subsidiaries of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (AGC), confirm that they were inspected on February 22nd and 23rd 2005 by the European Commission in connection with alleged infringements of European Competition laws in the area of flat glass and automotive glass.

Both companies are co-operating in the Commission's inspection. Glaverbel and AGC Automotive Europe, both subsidiaries of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.
