Glaston Corporation reduces its forecast of July 2008 on the operating profit of the year 2008, and the profit is expected to be below the previous year's level.

In an earlier release of 16 July 2008, Glaston Corporation expected its net sales and operating profit to remain on the 2007 level.

The performance of the Pre-processing segment has been weaker than anticipated. In addition the generally challenging market situation influences Glaston Corporation's overall order intake and delivery times.

Glaston has initiated measures to improve profitability. The scope as well as the profit and loss effect of the measures will be announced by the end of October.

Glaston will publish the interim report for the third quarter on 24 October 2008.
