Glaston Corporation and Messe Düsseldorf start collaborating to advance continuous knowledge sharing, networking and the latest glass industry solutions.

Glaston Corporation, the founder of the Glass Performance Days (GPD) conference, and Messe Düsseldorf, the organizer of the glasstec, the world’s leading international trade fair for the glass industry, start collaborating to advance continuous knowledge sharing, networking and the latest glass industry solutions.

Organized alternate years, both GPD and glasstec want to pave the way for a sustainable future in the glass industry. Through the collaboration, this can be enhanced by showcasing the latest technology innovations, sharing the most recent knowledge and research findings and bringing together the industry experts and innovators.

The upcoming glasstec 2024 taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany, will focus on digital technologies, decarbonization and circular economy. For four days, trade fair visitors will make the most of discovering future-proof solutions to advance their business success. Knowledge sharing and networking can continue after conference hours as visitors are welcome to meet with peers in the GPD Pub, organized by GPD and glasstec and co-hosted by Glaston, DOW, Bouwend Nederland Vakgroep GLAS, and A+W Software.

“We’re looking forward to strengthening the connection between the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry and GPD. Together we can advance the knowledge sharing and bring an opportunity for established and start-up companies to showcase their latest innovations every year in leading industry events,” says Lars Wismer, Director of glasstec.

GPD is a forum dedicated to the development of the global glass industry value chain through an exchange of ideas, concepts and innovations. In June 2025 it will bring together in Tampere, Finland, a wide range of leading professionals, innovators, and thought leaders from the glass industry to share their insights and expertise. The conference and exhibition will address a variety of topics related to glass applications, products and processes, in addition to providing many networking opportunities.

“GPD has decades of experience in welcoming experts to share their insights and challenge each other to create new ways to grow the industry as well as connecting start-ups and established industry players. We are excited to join forces with glasstec for bringing together ideas, research findings, visionary dreams and knowledge. They yield solutions that can benefit the entire glass industry value chain,” says Marko Mökkönen, Director of Sustainability at Glaston, who has been leading GPD’s organizing team since GPD 2023.
