Over the past two weeks of September, Glass for Europe launched its new #MoreThanYouSee campaign on LinkedIn, highlighting the essential role of flat glass in Europeans’ daily lives and its contribution to many of Europe’s policy priorities.

“Our industry values transparency that has an impact,” said Bertrand Cazes, Secretary General of Glass for Europe. “Through #MoreThanYouSee, we want to make visible the often-unnoticed contribution of flat glass to citizens’ everyday lives and to Europe’s strategic objectives.”

The campaign’s visuals showcase how flat glass delivers benefits that are often taken for granted: helping homes stay warm in winter and cool in summer, improving comfort and safety in vehicles, and supporting mobility and modern lifestyles. They also highlight the industry’s contribution to key European priorities, from energy efficiency, climate action and renewable energy deployment to circularity, recycling, sustainable manufacturing, industrial resilience and employment across Europe.

The campaign comes as EU institutions return to work after the summer break and resume discussions on a range of legislative and policy initiatives relevant to the flat glass industry. By raising the visibility of the sector and its contribution to Europe’s objectives, #MoreThanYouSee aims to create a stronger basis for dialogue with policymakers and stakeholders and pave the way for more in-depth policy discussions.

The September launch is only the beginning. #MoreThanYouSee will continue to feature in Glass for Europe’s social media communication in the coming months, with additional content taking a closer look at the policy contribution of flat glass and demonstrating why the material is much more than meets the eye.
