Ten GIMAV member firms will be in Shanghai May 6-9 to participate in China Glass as part of the group presence organized in partnership with ITA (Italian Trade Agency).

GIMAV is also launching VITRUM International, the project that will support the community of exhibitors at forthcoming international glass industry shows, offering both physical on-site assistance as well as a virtual showcase to lend year-round visibility to its own business in markets of interest.

From May 6th to 9th 2023, the ITA-GIMAV group will be on hand with 10 member companies at the Shanghai New International Expo Center for the 32nd edition of China Glass, the leading Asian glass industry trade show for the flat and hollow glass machines, accessories and processed products industry.

Made in Italy products have long enjoyed a reputation in Asia as items of great prestige, given that Italy is one of the countries from which the highest number of glass processing machines, systems and accessories are imported. China is the 4th destination market for Italy’s glass industry: Italy-China trade in 2022 totaled nearly €155,000,000. Italy’s exports to China amount to €104,000,000, a 24.4% increase compared to pre-pandemic 2019 figures and a leap of 64.1% over 2021,” stated GIMAV Director Fabrizio Cattaneo. “Our participation in this 32nd edition is an additional opportunity for us to express the value of trade with China. It is also the ideal platform from which to introduce VITRUM International to a global audience. The new project will support the VITRUM community in the most strategic international markets, a hybrid format that offers dual services to each exhibiting company: organization and physical support at the trade shows themselves and a virtual showcase open 365 days of the year through a dedicated portal to each individual market, written in the language of the specific country.”

GIMAV-member companies taking part in the China Glass 2023 group presence will be located in Pavilion N1, which will also host an informative institutional GIMAV-VITRUM-ITA stand (N1-123). Following are the stand numbers for the Group participants: Antonini Srl (stand N1-126), CMS SpA (stand N1-150), Elettromeccanica Bovone Srl (stand N1-152); Forel SpA (stand N1-163); Glass Service Srl (stand N1-129), Helios Italquartz Srl (stand N1-122); Italcarrelli SpA (stand N1-128), OCMI-OTG SpA (stand N1-125), Optima Srl (stand N1-166), STAR Srl (stand N1-151).
