Manual Handling has long been a pressing health and safety issue present within the glazing industry.  Recent stories publicised by various news sources have highlighted the need for a consistent approach to training within the industry.

GGF Training has heard this need, voiced by GGF members, and is pleased to announce the launch of its Manual Handling Training programme.

What is Manual Handling Training?

GGF Training has partnered with Pristine Condition to develop a bespoke training programme specifically for those within the glazing industry. The half-day course, delivered by Pristine Condition’s expert instructors, has a practical hands-on delivery style. In a live working environment, the course offers plenty of opportunity to put newly learnt techniques into practice so attendees can confidently apply their learning straight away on return to the workplace. GGF Training will be offering GGF Members the special rate of £190 + VAT per attendee.

Why is Manual Handling Training so important?

Phil Pinnington, GGF Health, Safety and Facilities Manager, has been key in establishing the Manual Handling Training alongside GGF Training.

Phil states: “The GGF has taken feedback from members on board in order to acquire a solution to the ever increasing issue surrounding manual handling. We are pleased to be working with GGF Training and Pristine Condition to provide a training course tailored specifically for GGF Members. With this training, those working within the glazing industry will be equipped with the knowledge they require to carry out safe manual handling practices.”
