The Society of Glass Technology is pleased to announce that the milestone 20th Furnace Solutions Conference will return to St Helens, UK, on 3–4 June 2026.

Adopting the theme “Decarbonisation: What’s the Reality?”, the two-day conference will feature a packed programme of technical presentations by industry experts from across the supply chain. The event will bring together an international audience of glassmakers, end users and suppliers to address the latest challenges and opportunities that are shaping a sustainable future for glass.

Details of early-bird registration will be announced shortly. In the meantime, companies interested in submitting an abstract for consideration, exploring sponsorship opportunities or reserving a stand in the tabletop exhibition are invited to contact Christine Brown: christine@sgt.org

Recent Furnace Solutions conferences have attracted senior personnel from leading global glassmakers including AGC, Ardagh, Beatson Clark, Encirc, Euroglas, Guardian, Knauf, Nippon Electric Glass, NSG Pilkington, O-I, Saint-Gobain, Saverglass, Sisecam, Stoelzle, Verallia, Vidrala, Vitro and many more.

In addition to the technical programme and extensive networking opportunities, accompanying events — including a civic reception and a tour of the Glass Futures R&D Innovation Centre — will ensure the 20th Furnace Solutions Conference is a must-attend event for glass professionals worldwide.
