In May, ExtrudaSeal exhibited at the FIT Show event for the third time, showcasing our extensive range of gaskets and ancillaries for the windows and doors sector.

The FIT Show is the only UK event of its kind and 2019 show was the biggest yet, with more than 300 leading brands involved, exhibiting across three halls.

From the time the doors opened on the 21st of May, to the final moments of the show on the 23rd of May, it was clear to us that installers and fabricators attending the event were there to do business. As a result, we received high levels of interest in our catalogue of products, with event delegates recognising the many benefits of direct gasket and weather seal supply in terms of performance and cost reduction.

Whilst exhibiting at FIT Show 2019 provided the chance to make many valuable new contacts, it also presented the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships. Paul James, ExtrudaSeal Sales Director said:

“What was very positive was that visitors included those who we had been talking to for a little while but who came and met us at FIT with a genuine desire to do business.”

The high levels of interest in ExtrudaSeal’s products for aluminium window and door systems was certainly an accurate representation of the continuing growth in this sector.

“Aluminium is buoyant and that was reflected in the demand that we saw at this year’s show.”

ExtrudaSeal manufacture gaskets for a wealth of systems, including some of the most popular aluminium profiling systems (Smarts, ALUK, Senior, Metaltech, Ikon and more). In the last 12 months alone, we manufactured more than 20,000km of aluminium door gaskets at our premises in Birmingham.

As with any growing industry, there have certainly been teething problems for aluminium windows and doors fabricators and installers. We have in turn developed innovative products and solutions to address common reasons for gasket failure, not only allowing our customers to increase their efficiency and cut down call-backs but providing the opportunity for them to upsell their product offer. With these benefits available, it’s hard to argue against buying gaskets directly, rather than as part of a package deal with aluminium systems.

“The opportunities to upsell your product offer, purely on the strength of your gasket, whether that’s colour-matched or low sightline, makes the case to buy direct speak for itself.” Paul concluded.

Following another successful year at the FIT Show, we look forward to exhibiting our latest innovations next year.
