The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality will present the agency's highest environmental award to Dow Corning and its community partners this week.

The presentation will be this Thursday, Sept. 15, in Midland. The Neighborhood Environmental Partners Award was developed by the DEQ to recognize facilities and their community partners who have worked together on environmental and natural resource projects to improve the local environment in their communities.

The DEQ says Dow Corning and its partners will be recognized for their outstanding commitment to environmental community outreach.

DEQ Director Dan Wyant will present the award at 3 p.m. during a ceremony at the Dow Corning Midland site.
