Double R has launched the “R-Light” superior roof lantern with a number of unique features providing improved thermal performance and ease of installation.

The PVCu chamfered twin wall design of the of the top caps creates a thermal break between the external and internal walls reducing the risk of condensation and ensuring that the tops caps remain strong and rigid. The ridge top cap also acts as a thermal break due to its unique design.

The detachable ridge top cap enables Fitters to position the glass correctly ensuring good clearance around each unit and, once the glass is in the correct position, the glazing tape can be peeled off. As a result of the glass being able to be position rather that being ‘pushed’ into position the glazing closers will remain on during fitting and the gaskets remain flat against the glass providing a better seal.

This modern contemporary lantern has a low profile ridge, PVCu sleeved eaves rail resulting in no refelctions of metal eaves in the glass on the roof perimeter, neat crown caps that are tight and secure and is available at a fixed pitch of 25, the optimal angle for refracting light into a room.
