The award recognises Pilkington Automotive's excellent manufacturing capability in supplying toughened and double-glazed backlights and was awarded to three of the Group's plants - Ylöjärvi and Tampere in Finland, and São Paulo in Brazil. Pilkington has supplied DAF with glazing for almost 30 years, building a strong relationship with the international truck brand. Following DAF's introduction of a supplier efficiency programme in September 2007, Pilkington was delighted to meet its 50PPM requirement in the first year of the programme and exceed DAF's quality expectations.Pilkington Automotive has received a Quality Achievement award from its longstanding customer, truck manufacturer DAF.
