Date: 19 October 2015

D.A. Glass America, Inc. is proud to announce its membership in the Glass Association of North America (GANA), which is the leading association serving flat glass manufacturers, fabricators, and glazing contractors.

This new affiliation will help to put the company in contact with its peers, customers, and suppliers on a regular, professional basis, helping to create strong working relationships.  The association provides over 200 members with educational programs, publications, networking opportunities, meetings and conventions.GANA is comprised of eight divisions, including the Decorative Division, which D.A.Glass America has joined.  This division is made up of companies that fabricate decorative glazing products as well as their suppliers.  There are more than 40 suppliers and manu - facturers in the decorative division.   Being an acid-etched glass manufacturer, this division is a great fit for the company.

“We are very excited to be a part of the Glass Association of North America and its decorative division.  This affiliation puts us on the map as a significant player in the industry and will allow us to be a part of important educational and networking opportunities” said Brad Aldrich, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at D.A. Glass America.

Being the only acid-etched glass manufacturer in the United States has allowed D.A. Glass America to grow significantly in the past few months. This growth helped make the decision to join much easier. “We had been eager to join GANA since our opening and our recent growth has made it a reality.  We wanted to wait until we were off the ground and running.  We are very proud to be a part of this exceptional association” said Steve Williams, President & CEO of D.A. Glass America.

The manufacturing and business operations for D.A. Glass America are located at its facility in Calumet, MI.  Current products include OcuMatte acid-etched glass, MiMatte acid-etched patterned glass, VistaMax Non-Glare glass, and VistaMax Anti-Reflective glass.  All of the products that will come from the Calumet plant will be produced using a proprietary chemical etching process. Recent growth has allowed for a second shift of workers to be hired, bringing the company closer to its goal of 50 new employees in Houghton County.
