The Company will Debut Dual Thermally Broken Storefront and Innovative Frameless Shower Door System, as well as Offer Continuing Education Courses AIA Convention is one of the largest architecture and design events of the year.

Taking place May 19-21 in Philadelphia, PA, the trade show is attended by thousands of architects, designers, and business leaders from around the world.

CRL-U.S. Aluminum–the leading single–source manufacturer and supplier of architectural glazing systems—is proud to be a major exhibitor at the event once again. The company will showcase its range of entrance systems, storefronts, curtain walls, railings, demountable partitions, and frameless shower door hardware.

CRL-U.S. Aluminum will be debuting several new products in Booth 1339. One of them is a storefront system engineered to meet evolving energy codes. The ArcticFront™ Series 45X Storefront delivers optimal thermal performance with the installer-friendly features of a traditional storefront. It features dual polyurethane thermal break points that act as a superior thermal barrier to protect against heat transfer.

Also making its debut at the 2016, AIA Convention is C.R. Laurence’s innovative Transpara™ Series Shower Door System. The system gives customers a truly all-glass aesthetic by being able to handle large glass panes without the need for door hinges or vertical framing. This produces uninterrupted glass visuals that are further enhanced by low-profile top and bottom rails.

In addition to new product introductions, CRL-U.S. Aluminum will be offering AIA-registered education programs in their dedicated Learning Lounge (1459LL). These educational courses qualify for HSW AIA Learning Units and cover important subject matters relevant to the architecture and design industry. This year’s Learning Lounge topics include:

  • Code-Compliant Glass Railing Systems
  • Optimizing Thermal Performance in Storefronts and Curtain Walls
  • Specifying Building Envelope Solutions
  • Demountable Interior Glass Wall Systems

“Open communication between manufacturers and architects is essential to responsive product innovation,” said Lloyd Talbert, president of C.R. Laurence. “AIA Convention is an exciting platform to not only represent the glazing industry, but also to freely exchange product ideas with architects and designers.”
