Clearlight Glass & Mirror has acquired the Stoneville, North Carolina fabrication facility from Press Glass, Inc., expanding its regional capacity and advanced glass processing capabilities.

Clearlight Glass & Mirror, a North Carolina-based custom glass fabricator, today announced that it has acquired a fabrication facility in Stoneville, North Carolina, previously owned by Press Glass, Inc. The strategic acquisition expands Clearlight’s manufacturing footprint in North Carolina, increases production resilience, and enhances its ability to support residential, light-commercial, and specialty glazing projects across the Southeast.

Advancing Domestic Fabrication Capabilities

The Stoneville facility processes glass from 3/32″ to 3/4″ across a broad product mix, including clear, low-iron, low-E coatings, and patterned substrates, enabling Clearlight to support a wider range of project types with shorter lead times and greater production flexibility. With this acquisition, Clearlight will significantly expand capacity for custom shower enclosures, residential and light-commercial glazing, and specialty fabrication, while adding high-volume capabilities in:

  • Insulated glass units (IGUs)
  • Lamination
  • Back-painted glass
  • Digital ceramic printing
  • High-throughput tempering

These capabilities support both design-driven architectural applications and repeatable production programs for builders and contractors.

Clearlight leaders note that the facility provides critical machine redundancy, including multiple tempering ovens, CNC and cutting assets, and integrated logistics capacity, helping reduce production bottlenecks, improve schedule reliability, and minimize risk for customers managing tight construction timelines.

Leadership Commentary

“Clearlight is excited to continue its growth trajectory, adding significant capacity and capabilities to better serve our customers,” said William Calhoun, CEO of Clearlight Glass & Mirror. “This investment strengthens our ability to deliver consistent quality at scale, even as project complexity and demand continue to increase. This includes machine redundancies from cutting tables to multiple tempering ovens to delivery fleets. We appreciate the solid foundation laid at this facility by Glass Dynamics and Press Glass and will work hard to build on that foundation.”

“The combination of personnel, equipment, location, and customer base creates a strong platform for long-term growth,” said Dio Guerra, Chief Operating Officer at Clearlight. “Stoneville allows us to expand capacity without sacrificing the craftsmanship and responsiveness our customers expect.” We do all of this to exceed our customers’ expectations, which is the greatest satisfaction that drives us as a company. Quality without compromise.”

“We are pleased to see Clearlight take ownership of this building and serve the local market with a strong focus on quality and dependable delivery. Their investment in this facility is also a positive development for the community, supporting local employment and continued economic growth,” said Brett Ashley, President of Press Glass, Inc.
