Acquisition Expands SFTG’s Machinery, Tooling, Consumables and Service Platform for the North American Glass Industry

Salem Fabrication Technologies Group, Inc. (SFTG), a leading provider of machinery, tooling, supplies, service and fabrication solutions to the North American glass industry, has acquired Greensboro, North Carolina-based Matodi, LLC. Final agreements for the acquisition were signed October 15, 2026.

Matodi will retain its name and become the fifth operating division under the SFTG umbrella, joining Salem Fabrication Supplies, HHH Equipment Resources, Glass Machinery Locator and K&W Grinding.

“This is an exciting step forward for SFTG, Matodi and, most importantly, the customers we serve,” said Dan Reinhart, CEO of Salem Fabrication Technologies Group. “Matodi has built a solid reputation in our industry through knowledgeable people, quality machinery and tooling, and a commitment to taking care of its customers. Those values align extremely well with ours. By bringing our organizations together, we are strengthening the depth of products, technical expertise and service we can provide to glass fabricators throughout North America.”

Founded in 2011, Matodi has established itself as a supplier of glass fabrication machinery, tooling, spare parts and service, representing a range of equipment and technology manufacturers serving the flat glass industry.

For Matodi customers, the company’s existing relationships, product offerings and machinery sales will continue, backed by the broader resources and capabilities of SFTG.

“Matodi has always been built around our customers and finding the right solutions for their operations,” said Elliott Jones, owner of Matodi. “Joining SFTG gives our team additional resources and capabilities while allowing us to continue the relationships and level of service our customers have come to expect from Matodi. We see tremendous opportunity ahead, and we are excited about what our combined organizations will be able to accomplish.”

The acquisition also represents continued growth of SFTG’s multi-division business model, bringing complementary companies and specialized expertise together under one organization while maintaining the individual strengths, brands and customer relationships of each division.

“This is not about changing what Matodi does well,” Reinhart added. “It is about building on it. Our industry increasingly needs suppliers that can provide more than an individual machine or product. Fabricators need knowledgeable partners who understand their processes and can support machinery, tooling, consumables, automation and service over the long term. Together, we are better positioned to provide that support.”

SFTG is a 100% employee-owned company, and Matodi employees will become part of the SFTG employee-owner family.

“One of the things that makes this especially meaningful is welcoming the Matodi team into our employee-owned organization,” Reinhart said. “Our employee-owners have a personal stake in the success of our customers and our company. We look forward to bringing the Matodi team into that culture and building the next chapter of our businesses together.”

Matodi will continue operating from its Greensboro, North Carolina location. Additional information regarding the combined organizations, product offerings and customer resources will be communicated as integration moves forward.
