The 35th China Glass 2026, themed “Intelligent Manufacturing, New Glass, Empowering a New Future,” opened on April 7, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre and concludes today, marking another successful edition of one of the industry’s most influential global events.

As the exhibition approaches its 40th anniversary milestone, Shanghai once again stands at the center of the international glass industry. Over four decades, China Glass has evolved into a key platform for innovation and sector development, reaching new heights in scale, international participation, and technological content. The strong visitor turnout from day one reaffirmed its role as a true “barometer” of the global glass market.

A Global Industry Gathering Along the Huangpu River
This year’s exhibition spans more than 90,000 square meters across seven halls (N1–N5 and W4–W5). Despite a complex international environment, participation remained robust, with 889 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Austria, and Finland. Among them, 697 are domestic companies and 192 international exhibitors.

Leading industry players have showcased innovations across the entire value chain, from smart manufacturing and green, low-carbon technologies to advanced functional glass solutions.

Strong Attendance and High-Level Participation
The opening day recorded more than 33,000 professional visitors, exceeding expectations. Attendees represented over 30 application sectors, including photovoltaics, construction, automotive, electronics, and home appliances.

High-profile representatives from industry associations, research institutions, and global organizations attended the event, underlining its international importance. Throughout the exhibition, the halls have been animated by business meetings, technical exchanges, and networking opportunities.

Driving the Future of the Glass Industry
China Glass 2026 not only reflects the achievements of the past decades but also highlights the direction of the industry—toward intelligent manufacturing, sustainability, and high-value innovation.

Over the course of the exhibition, a series of technical seminars, product launches, and industry forums have further reinforced its role as a leading global platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and business development.
