Glazing Summit founder and CEO of industry specialists Insight data and Purplex, Andrew Scott, has revealed his motivation for this year’s Glazing Summit.

With the event just two months away, Andrew is currently getting the agenda, key speakers and panellists up together for what promises to be an event not to be missed – particularly after last year’s successful debut.

“The goal last year was to bring together industry leaders in a one-day conference to discuss and debate the big issues facing the glass and glazing industry – and we certainly achieved that,” said Andrew.

“Now we want to make it bigger and better for this year, which means more topics, more speakers and more people.

“We attracted 400 people from some of the industry’s most influential companies last year so a platform for CEO’s and business leaders to come together, learn and share information is something the industry clearly wants.”

This year will see expert speakers talk about the biggest industry issues across not one but two stages.

Alongside the main stage will be the new Technical Stage, which will tackle the key issues around technical, compliance and regulations, providing senior technical people and designers, production directors, H&S and compliance officers with a platform to learn and share best practice.

The main stage will feature discussions on the latest industry trends, the big issues facing the sector, new technologies and products, and where the industry is going.

Andrew explained:

“With lots of topics to cover this year, having two stages will allow us to fit them all in and provide visitors with content that is more valuable to them.

“The aim is to have something for everyone, whether you are a fabricator, installer, component supplier or glass company.”

Some big industry names are partnering with the event, including headline sponsors the GGF, industry giant Yale, who will be sponsoring the new Technical Stage, FENSA, the BFRC, ODL Europe, Unique Window Systems Limited and CAB.

Numerous other major names are also on board, including Edgetech, The Residence Collection (Window Widgets), Window Ware, Shelforce, Improveasy, Hodgson Sealants and the TWR Group.

The Glazing Summit takes place on Thursday, September 12th at Edgbaston Stadium and Conference Centre in Birmingham.
