AluK is replacing its SL52 and SG52 aluminium curtain walling systems with two new aluminium double glazed curtain wall systems, namely the AluK SL50 and AluK SG50 curtain walling systems.

AluK curtain walling systems have been specified and installed in some of the world’s most prestigious buildings. AluK’s unique lightweight solutions offer building designers the flexibility to create the structures they desire, whilst maintaining the performance and functionality demanded by

modern UK buildings.

Combining strong but lightweight double glazed aluminium profiles with glazed sections, AluK’s curtain wall systems can be faceted, curved or angled to create the desired design, whilst optimising light transmission into the building with minimum profile sight lines.

All AluK aluminium profiles are thermally broken to ensure maximum performance and systems include a wide range of features to provide complete design flexibility. These include a capped system and a structurally bonded system, multiple drainage methods, face caps and a multitude of opening configurations including doors, parallel opening vent, tilt before turn, side hung and top hung. Below is a summary of the features and benefits of each of AluK’s two new aluminium curtain walling systems:

NEW AluK SL50 Curtain Walling System

The SL50 is a capped stick-frame curtain walling system that has been designed to offer the highest performance through a combination of unique profile design and thermal optimisation.

Offering complete flexibility of design and functionality the SL50 range includes glazing infills and a range of face caps to suit any project. Our unique drainage and ventilation system, sited within glazing rebates, ensures an attractive finish with optimal weather performance.

The system is available in a variety of mullion depths as well as in an enhanced thermal performance variant, the SL50 HI. For added design flexibility, the system can be faceted, curved or sloped, and drainage can be achieved through the mullion or transom. The system has been tested to CWCT Sequence B and has been designed to be fully integrated with AluK window, door and brise soleil systems to provide a complete façade solution.

NEW Aluk SG50 Curtain Walling System

Designed to offer a sleek and uninterrupted glazing finish, the structurally glazed, stick-frame SG50 Curtain Walling System offers high performance alongside a modern and attractive building façade.

The system is built to provide flexibility and ease of installation, with glazing infills and a complete range of face caps. Our unique drainage and ventilation system, sited within glazing rebates, ensures an attractive finish with optimal weather performance.

To ensure that the system meets your project needs it has been designed with flexibility built-in; it can be faceted, curved or sloped.  The system is available in a range of mullion depths and drainage can be achieved through the mullion or transom.

The system has been tested to CWCT Sequence B and has been designed for full integration with AluK window, door and brise soleil systems to provide a complete façade solution.
