Certification opportunities take center stage at GlassBuild America 2025 as NGA and AGMCC once again bring hands-on AGMT testing to the show floor.

The National Glass Association (NGA) is pleased to announce that live testing for the hands-on part of the Architectural Glass & Metal Technician (AGMT) Certification Program for architectural glass and metal technicians will return to the GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo trade show floor in Orlando, Nov. 4-6, 2025.

Building on its success in 2024, The Architectural Glass and Metal Certification Council (AGMCC) will again host its hands-on certification testing program for experienced glazing supervisors and technicians, live on the show floor, giving glazing stakeholders the opportunity to witness firsthand the rigor and validity of the test, instilling confidence in its ability to accurately assess glazing proficiency.

In support of its members, NGA will provide airfare to Orlando and two nights of accommodations at a GlassBuild America hotel for testing candidates from NGA member companies. (Travel costs covered on a limited basis; NGA will verify candidate’s AGMT test registration.)

“There is value in our trade show collaboration with AGMT, and we are thrilled to again offer companies the opportunity to have their teams certified in a central location," said NGA Vice President of Workforce Development Jenni Chase. "NGA's facilitation of AGMT Certification and covering costs for our member companies makes it easier for more glaziers to be certified, continuing our mission to help the industry with its workforce development efforts."

"AGMT is very excited to bring certification testing back to the GlassBuild show floor," said AGMT Program Manager Scott Kennett. "It is a unique opportunity for attendees to see for themselves the value AGMT Certification brings to the industry, while also giving more glaziers a chance to earn their AGMT Certification."

Testing candidates must meet several qualifications, including having 7,500 hours minimum work experience and having completed and passed the knowledge-based part of the exam to register for testing at GlassBuild America. Interested candidates or their supervisors should visit the AGMT website or contact Jason Simonette or Scott Kennett for more information. Upon successful registration, candidates will be put in touch with a contact at NGA to make travel arrangements.
