AGC Glass Company North America (AGNA), a leading manufacturer of glass and glass-related products, is launching two new product families of low-emissivity coated glass products: Energy Select™ for architectural applications and Comfort Select™ for residential applications.

These products will be manufactured by AGNA using the global technology platform already proven successful by the AGC Group.

The distinct branding of the coated glass products within each family will help clearly identify the products that meet code for each North American climate region.

The Energy Select product family includes a wide range of neutral and reflective low-e coated products, making it easier for architects to select the best product based on the energy code requirements and desired aesthetics. In addition, Energy Select 25 combines the new coating technology with a variety of tinted glass colors to achieve maximum performance values.

The Comfort Select product family provides an array of new passive solar and solar control low-e coated glass, allowing window manufacturers to choose the product that best meets or exceeds the Energy Star requirements for each region. AGNA will add Comfort Select 28 - a new triple silver low-e to the residential product line.

Michael Antonucci, Building Products Senior Vice-President, stated “Our new product range leverages the vast experience and advanced technology of the AGC Group, allowing us to offer better solutions for our customers and enhance our product development - enabling new products to be introduced to the market quicker than before.”

This global alignment with the AGC worldwide network supports the goal to provide consistent product quality and exceptional service. The new marketing strategy is designed to enhance visibility of the complete AGNA product offering and to better serve the Architectural, Interiors, Residential and Fire-Rated market segments.
