I find that the name of a German Standard DIN 18516 is
"Back ventilated, non- loadbearing, external enclosures of buildings, made from tempered safety glass panels. Requirements and testing"
May I ask what is the meaning of "back ventilated"?

I am now doing researches on Heat Soak Test of tempered/ toughened glasses. I know that there is a German standard 18516 (holding at 280-300degC for 8 hrs). There is also an under developed standard prEN 14179.
1)Are there any other standards that are being used in the tempered glass industry for the Heat Soak Test?
2)Could anyone tell me the general heating condition of present heat soak tests in the industry? What are the holding temp and time? What are the heating rate and cooling rate?
