Viracon Unveils ViraconGlass iPad App at AIA 2014

Date: 4 July 2014

Architects and designers attending the 2014 AIA Expo are encouraged to stop by the Viracon booth – #1831 – to use the new ViraconGlass iPad app, and for a chance to win a 16GB iPad Mini.

The Viracon iPad Mini Giveaway begins at the opening of the 2014 AIA National Convention AIA Expo on June 26, 2014 at 10 a.m. and ends at the close of the Expo on June 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.The new ViraconGlass mobile iPad app is designed to improve the glass selection process for both architects and glazing contractors. The app allows users to select from 25 different coatings on 15 substrates, presenting transmitted and reflective glass color on a variety of building types. The models can then be viewed under different lighting conditions and from both interior and exterior perspectives.

With a specific glass project in mind, users can also explore size capability by dragging a corner or entering the dimensions manually. Navigating Viracon’s range of glass products is straightforward with side-by-side comparisons and product performance information. ViraconGlass is a valuable tool for architects and designers researching the best glass for their projects, making the options easy to envision and simple to compose.

“We’ve developed a tool designed to help customers understand glass color, performance and sizing,” says Kevin Anez, Director of Marketing and Product Management, “which is very helpful when selecting the right glass for a project. ViraconGlass takes the guesswork out of glass so that designers can better understand what they need quickly and efficiently.”

Architects and designers can visit Viracon’s booth #1831 at the AIA National Convention in Chicago, June 26‒28, to use the app on provided iPads. The Viracon team is ready to answer questions and will have a full range of product samples.

Sponsor’s computer will be the official timekeeping device for the Viracon iPad Mini Giveaway. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. See iPad Giveaway rules at http://www.viracon.com/pdf/ViraconiPadMiniGiveawayRules.pdf
