OWATONNA, Minn. – March 18, 2010 – Don McCann, Architectural Design Manager at Viracon, Inc., the nation’s leading architectural glass fabricator, will be joining leading architects, engineers and design experts to speak at the “Glass & Glazing in the 21st Century: Design & Preservation of Contemporary & Historic Architecture” conference hosted by MIT this weekend.  The conference and training program, presented by Technology & Conservation, the MIT Department of Architecture’s Building Technology Program and the Boston Society of Architects/AIA’s Historic Resources Committee, is the latest in a series of materials-based meetings begun in the 1990’s.

This symposium will focus on developments in architectural glass for structural, energy saving and decorative uses in new buildings and restorations.
 
McCann is set to take the stage at the MIT campus in Cambridge, Mass. on Sunday, March 21 to discuss high performance coatings on glass and silk-screen design. He joins a line-up of high-profile speakers, including some of the leading architects, engineers and building product specialists from around the world.
