Viracon Introduces DigitalDistinctions™ Digital Etch Ink

Date: 28 April 2014

High-Performance Digital Etch the Only Solution for a Colored Etch Appearance - Viracon, the nation’s leading single-source architectural glass fabricator, introduces DigitalDistinctions™ Digital Etch Ink – a cost-effective, fast, and environmentally-friendly etch ink designed for achieving varied etch effects in colors and textures.   DigitalDistinctions™ Etch Ink simulates the look of acid etched or colored etch glass when used alone or in combination with other ink colors.

Any of Viracon’s high-performance coatings can be applied directly over any digital print on the same surface. Versatile application effects of the ink provide varying degrees of privacy, light diffusion and sun control.

DigitalDistinctions™ Etch Ink creates the frosted look and feel of acid etched and sandblasted glass without the masking and peeling. It is the only solution for colored etch appearance, and the ideal choice for intricate etch graphics and patterns. It also can incorporate multiple colors and be digitally mixed to create pastel hues.

The safety and environmental features of DigitalDistinctions™ Etch Ink are impressive: The product does not use high-pressure sand blasting and it does not contain dangerous acids. The final product looks and feels just like acid etched and sandblasted glass.
