DigitalDistinctions™, Viracon’s high-resolution digital printing solution for glass facades, has received a 2013 Product of the Year award from USGlass Magazine.  DigitalDistinctions was one of 18 products chosen, winning in the Decorative Glass category.

Winners were determined by a reader survey that included all of the products from both the USGlass Showcase section and the Annual New Products Guide.

“It’s an honor to be recognized by USGlass for creating a colorful and versatile solution that enables architects to incorporate their designs into a glass façade,” says Kevin Anez, Director of Marketing and Product Management. “DigitalDistinctions is special because it enhances building aesthetics without sacrificing performance. It is UV-resistant, transparent and scratch resistant. Not to mention, our solar control coatings can be applied directly over the digital image.”

DigitalDistinctions provides one solution for all glass-printing applications. It enables a vast selection of colors to be applied to a single lite of glass, and is highly customizable to high-resolution images, patterns, text, textures, dots and lines – all with supreme predictability, repeatability and ceramic ink durability.

In terms of overall building performance, DigitalDistinctions enhances the functionality of glass by optimizing light diffusion and transmission, energy efficiency, solar control and the support of carbon emission reduction.

The 2013 Product of the Year winners were first introduced in the December issue of USGlass, and Viracon’s DigitalDistinctions was also featured in the January issue of the magazine. To view the January digital edition, visit:
