Steklarna Hrastnik Awarded the Title of National Champion

For the second year in the row, Steklarna Hrastnik is the  National Champion within the framework of European Business Awards (EBA 2015/2016) in the category of Environmental & Corporate Sustainability.

This year, over 32,000 companies from 33 European countries competed for this prestigious award with their examples of good practice.Only 2%, i.e. 678 companies, advanced to the second round, including Steklarna Hrastnik. On this occasion, Andrej Božič, General Manager of Steklarna Hrastnik, said: “I am very pleased that the international expert jury recognised our efforts for sustainable development. The focus on the principle of sustainability has led us to the third pillar of sustainable development – economic development.”

Sustainable development is of strategic importance for Steklarna Hrastnik and the company is well aware that it is only such an approach that can help its business grow. For the last five years, Steklarna Hrastnik has been developing a business model that focuses on people and the cultivation of their talents.
