State asked to boost local glass industry

THE  government has been challenged to protect the local glass industry from  exploitation. Embakasi  South MP Irshad Sumra yesterday said imported glass materials pose a threat to local products.

Speaking to the  Star in Mombasa, Sumra said Kenyan manufactures produce better quality glass but face a major threat from cheap and poor quality glass imported from China and Dubai.Read more here.
