Custom three-dimensional-laser etching on PPG ultra-clear glass named best new technology  - A custom-etched 12–by-12-inch crescent (curved glass) award manufactured by the Slee Corp., Chicago, featuring STARPHIRE(R) glass by PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG), was named the Best New Technology at the 2014 International Awards Market, an annual event held by the Awards and Recognition Association (ARA).The proprietary technology, developed by the Slee Corp., incorporates a three-dimensional laser that etches custom images inside a 12-by-12 crescent of Starphire ultra-clear glass by PPG.

This is the third time that the Slee Corp. has earned the award for Best New Technology.

The ARA International Awards Market took place Feb. 27 in Las Vegas. The event recognizes ARA retailer and supplier members, nominated by their colleagues, for their contributions to the association and the awards industry. The ARA is an organization of 4,000 companies dedicated to increasing professionalism of recognition specialists and advancing the awards and engraving industry.
