Dr. Leopold von Heimendahl, Chairman of the Board of Management of Schott Glas, Mainz, has been elected to serve for a further two years as President of the Bundesverband der Glasindustrie, known as BV Glas for short or Federal Glass Industry Association in English.
Adolf Fischer, CEO of Schott Rohrglas GmbH, has been newly appointed to the management board as Treasurer.
The BV Glas represents the economic policy interests of the German glass industry. With the election of the Management Board a realignment has been introduced with the aim of increased efficiency coupled with a significant reduction in tangible and personnel costs.
