PressGlass, a leading European manufacturer of high-quality processed glass products for commercial and residential applications, has expanded its production capabilities with the installation of Tecglass Vitro-Jet FS Type digital printing lines at its Tychy (Poland) and Ridgeway, Virginia (USA) plants.
Founded in 1991, PressGlass operates 15 international facilities across Europe and the USA, with a total manufacturing area of 218,000 m², making it Europe’s leading producer of double-glazing glass.
Tychy, Poland (130,000 ft² production area)
Commissioned in December 2024, the Tychy facility was the first to receive the Vitro-Jet FS Type line, capable of printing glass sizes up to 2,500 x 4,500 mm. Equipped with exclusive Side Kinetix patented technology and 24 double printheads, the system offers unparalleled flexibility for architectural glass decoration. The machines were custom-painted in PressGlass’ corporate colors, giving the line a distinctive identity.
Ridgeway, Virginia, USA (280,000 ft² production area)
The Ridgeway plant, operational since 2020 and specializing in facade glazing, commissioned its Tecglass digital printing line in July 2025. Identical to the Tychy installation, the Vitro-Jet FS Type system is already running at full capacity, further supporting North American customers with advanced glass solutions.
According to Piotr Zawada, Senior Manager of Equipment Reliability and Capital Investments at PressGlass, the investment was aimed at “increasing production capacity and future-proofing operations with faster, more reliable, and sustainable technology.” James Walls, Senior Process Engineer, added that the system “brings faster printing speed while maintaining quality.”
With these installations, PressGlass reinforces its long-term partnership with Tecglass and continues to position itself at the forefront of innovative, sustainable glass production worldwide.
