PPG to announce second quarter 2008 results July 17

PITTSBURGH, July 7, 2008 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) will release its second quarter 2008 earnings before the New York Stock Exchange opens Thursday, July 17.

The news release will be available on the Newsroom and Investor Center sections of the company’s Web site, www.ppg.com. Also available on the Investor Center will be recorded comments by William H. Hernandez, senior vice president, finance, and chief financial officer, as well as a transcript and associated slides. The commentary can be played online using Windows Media Player or RealPlayer, or heard via telephone by dialing 412-434-2816, through July 28. Downloadable MP3 files of the commentary will also be available on the Investor Center for the rest of the quarter.
