Pilkington Optifloat European move

Production of Pilkington Optifloat™ grey and bronze has been moved from the UK to Weiherhammer. The German plant has ample capacity and is also closer to the main markets for tinted products.

More than 80 per cent of the annual production is exported into other European countries.

The glasses will be produced in six different thicknesses from 3mm to 10mm at an annual volume of 25,000 tonnes.
