Glass and Glazing Design Academy, plus Blueprint for Collaboration

NGA has launched its 2025-2026 Glass and Glazing Design Academy, a collection of courses covering the vast potential of glazing systems in building design, hosted through Architectural Record. Additionally, NGA is planning its fourth annual Blueprint for Collaboration, a live accredited event for architects covering trends in glass and glazing.

"We are thrilled NGA’s partnership with Architectural Record is continuing into its sixth year with our latest Academy,” says Sara Neiswanger, director, Industry Engagement, NGA. “The 2025-2026 curriculum features the most prevalent topics in glazing today, provided in a variety of formats, from articles to on-demand media, for users to earn credits.”

The Glass and Glazing Design Academy offers up to 8.0 LU|HSW accredited courses on a range of topics including school security, circularity through recycling and reuse, performance and sustainability, fenestration systems and the benefits of daylighting. Participants completing all eight courses will earn the Glass and Glazing Design badge.

A live webinar, Safe by Design: Security Glazing and High-Performance Glass in Educational Facilities, will be hosted live on Thursday, September 11 from 2:00-3:00 pm ET.  Register in advance on the CE Center website. The curriculum for this Academy will be live through August 2026.

“The Glass and Glazing Design Academy offers architects, designers, and glazing contractors a powerful educational tool that’s both practical and impactful,” says Brittnie Wilson, associate director, Learning Platforms and Continuing Education, BNP Media. “With 98% of participants saying they’d recommend it to a colleague, it’s clear this Academy is bridging the gap between design intent and material execution. Backed by the NGA's deep industry expertise, this program supports credentialing while helping professionals stay at the forefront of glass innovation and performance.”

NGA will also host its fourth annual Blueprint for Collaboration educational event live in Orlando, FL at the GlassBuild America trade show on Tuesday, November 4 from 10:00am – 5:00pm. Blueprint for Collaboration illuminates the architectural uses for glass and metals and the key relationships along the design path. Architects and specifiers can see the latest innovative products on display and learn why glass is the material of choice to enhance spaces where people live, play, learn, work and heal. Attendance is free and attendees may earn up to 4.5 LUs. Registration for GlassBuild is open; use promo code Blueprint25 for free entry.
