MIR STEKLA’2009 International Exhibition

June 8-11, 2009; Mir Stekla’2009, the International Exhibition for Glass Products, Manufacturing, Processing and Finishing Technology organized by Expocentre and the Russian Union of Architects takes place in Pavilions No. 1 and Forum, Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The event is held under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian.

2009 is the eleventh edition of the Mir Stekla Exhibition. The event’s high international status is acknowledged by UFI - the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, and RUEF - the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Mir Stekla proudly carries their logos as a label of quality.



The Exhibition provides a true reflection of the Russian glass market. At present, it is hard times for many Russian and foreign companies. But the life continues. Next year the crisis will have an influence on the market not too much. That is why it is necessary to hold a place in the market, keep clients and partners just now.

In four days at an exhibition one can achieve results equal to those gained through time-consuming and costly market research, advertising and competitor analysis carried out for months. Every year Mir Stekla held at Expocentre Fairgrounds becomes the central focus of professional attention for the key players in the glass market. Mir Stekla is the best Russian show demonstrating glass products of the world’s leading manufacturers, modern glass manufacturing and processing technologies, production equipment and tools.



This year the total exhibition area will occupy 19,000 sqm gross. The list of exhibitors at Mir Stekla’2009 includes about 290 companies from 24 countries, namely Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the USA. Supported by their national governments, glass market participants from Hungary, Italy, Germany and China demonstrate their products at collective stands.111 This year Mir Stekla welcomes 180 foreign exhibitors, including Bystronic, Intermac-Biesse, Busch&Spreen, Bohle, Emhart Glass, just to name a few.

Among 110 Russian participants are such companies as Salavatsteklo, Steklocentr, Sodital, and Steklopak.

New services rendered to exhibitors and visitors by Expocentre make their work at the event most efficient.

To help the Mir Stekla’2009 participants multiply the value of the exhibition, Expocentre has held a free seminar of on Effective Exhibiting. The exhibition organizers presented new forms of work with exhibitors. The seminar provided the delegates with practical advice on how to deal with organizational issues, and opened additional possibilities for business development. The information received will help exhibitors to maximize the power of the exhibition they participate in, learn about and make use of Expocentre’s additional services, and minimize exhibition costs and related tax risks.

The Business Center, a specifically equipped area, is intended for participants to make an appointment, carry on negotiations in a comfortable atmosphere and get information on the exhibition event programme.111 This year Expocentre offers professional visitors an unrivalled opportunity to attend the Mir Stekla Exhibition free of charge.

Mir Stekla’2009 will comprise the Hungarian Business Forum, organized by the Hungarian Association for the Glass Industry; a conference entitled “High-Tech Glass Products in Glazing of Buildings: Manufacture and Use”, and a round table entitled “Russia’s Construction Industry: From Licensing To Self-Regulation”, organized by the Russian Union of Architects and the Union of Glass Enterprises.
