Saint-Gobain Glass India has outlined an investment of US$ 37.6 million for 2007-09, according to a India- Canada Chambers of commerce bulletin.

The company has already invested over US$ 300 million in setting up a World Glass Complex on177 acres in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu which includes both float and automotive glass line within the same complex. 



The new investment will be directed towards scaling up its manufacturing capacity to cater to the global market in the automotive segment by building a capacity for manufacturing 1.5 million windshields, one million sets of door glasses and one million back glasses for automobiles by mid-2008.
